Adults and adolescents have many struggles that counseling can be beneficial for. Through talk therapy, teens and adults can come up with new solutions and approaches to their current situation.
Activity therapy is similar to play therapy but for children ages 9 to 13. Tweens tend to benefit from a mixture of talk therapy and engaging in play or activities, which is what makes activity therapy so effective for this age group.
Play therapy is a developmentally appropriate mental health intervention for children ages 3 to 9. Play therapy uses children's natural language, play, to facilitate transformative change and improve problematic behavior.
Couples counseling can benefit any couple through strengthening communication and relational patterns. Couples counseling helps individuals express themselves more clearly and honestly within their relationship.
Expressive arts counseling is used with teens and adults to try to access different feelings and experiences that can't be reached through words alone. Drawing, music, sand tray, and other forms of creative expression are used. Artistic ability not needed.
Parent services are offered when your child is in play therapy or activity therapy. However, parenting help can also be beneficial if your child is not receiving services. Through parenting, you will learn new strategies to help change your child's behavior and your relationship.
